Festival of the Fish will be held June 17-19, 2022. We wish to extend an invitation to you as a food vendor for this wonderful festival. We have listened to feed back and we have switched to a flat fee per foot to cover vending space, you will receive a $3 per foot discount if you pay IN FULL by 3/31/22 at midnight using code EARLYBIRDFF2022.  Reminder there are NO refunds for this event, it goes on rain or shine.  Your flat rate includes your front footage (area you serve from, we have a minimum front footage of 15 feet), water, 4 electrical hook ups (additional hook ups can be purchased for $20 per hook up), 4 menu items (additional menu items can be added for $25 per item), and clean up fee.

Please mark pay by invoice on after filling out your contract, once your concession has been approved the invoice will be emailed to you, you may pay directly online from that invoice or you may mail payment checks payable to The Vermilion Chamber 5495 Liberty Ave Vermilion OH 44089. 

The leased space will be for the dates of June 17th through June 19th, 2022. The Festival of the Fish Committee, Vermilion Chamber of Commerce and their affiliates shall not assume any responsibility for liability insurance, damage, sickness, accidents, acts of god or any obligation that may occur by reason of violating any current law or rule of all proper governing bodies pertaining to this event. The Lessee (you) are responsible for all proper forms, licenses, employees, agents, etc. This festival goes on rain or shine there are NO REFUNDS! 

The contracted area must be used by the lessee, and not Sublette. The area must also be used for the purpose stated in the contract. There shall be a limited number of vendors per type of food or concession. All decisions of the Festival of the Fish shall be final. Contracts will be specific on items to be sold only those items listed on approved contract will be allowed to be sold. This will be strictly enforced by the Festival Committee. 

If it is found that you misstated the purpose or have Sublette space you will be removed from the festival with NO refund, by the Festival of the Fish Committee. 

The lessee may arrive on Thursday (12:30PM-6PM) and occupy the leased space until Sunday evening. If you arrive prior you will not be placed until 12:30PM. If you place yourself in the wrong spot there will be a $50 fee for the committee to move you, so please wait for the Festival Committee to place you. The festival hours are as follows: Friday Noon until 11pm, Saturday Noon until 11pm, and Sunday Noon until 3:00 PM. You must be set up no later then 10:00 A.M on Friday June 17, 2022. You are PROHIBITED from breaking down prior to 3:00 PM on Sunday June 19th, if you do you will NOT be invited back.

  1. You must stay within your frontage area. Infringement upon your neighboring vendor will be with their approval ONLY and the Festival of the Fish Committee will enforce this. 
  2. Spots are available on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS, (After April 29th) so get your contracts in early. All spots are assigned by the Festival Committee. Returning Food Vendors must have their contract with deposit to the Vermilion Chamber by April 29, 2022 to guarantee previous years space. 
  3. Half Rental Fee must accompany your contract, with the balance due before June 1, 2022. Money Orders only after June 1, 2022. NO money will be accepted at the Festival without prior arrangements made with the Festival of the Fish Committee, expectation is that all monies due be paid in advance. 

Lessee’s Responsibility: 

  1. Lighting 
  2. Electrical Hook up (including 150 feet of electrical line and/or proper extension cords to panels). All Pigtail Connections MUST be waterproofed per N.E.C. Standard. If extension cord #12 gauge 3 conductor max 100 feet. 
  3. Fuses, breakers, and anything needed to operate 
  4. Water hoses, tees, fittings 
  5. ***Water back flow preventers*** 
  6. NO grease is to be dumped in trash receptacles (Must be in Container) 
  7. Lessee MUST dump own trash in dumpsters DAILY! You are totally responsible for your own trash and cleaning your area. All concessions must be kept clean and left in the same way at the end of the festival. Their own trash receptacles (whether plastic or metal container) at each booth and will further be responsible for trash and debris around each booth both during and after the festival. (Do NOT put trash in festival barrels or trash boxes). (Dumpsters are located behind beverage tent by railroad tracks). Please do NOT dump grease in bushes by dumpsters. Please put grease containers in dumpsters, do NOT leave beside them. 
  8. Lessee is responsible for all insurance, licenses, etc. 
  9. All 220 services must use 4 WIRE CABLE to be grounded to panel or 3-WIRE with approved ground red hooked to trailer. 
  10. All booths must meet the Ohio Fire Codes. Concessions need a K Class extinguisher if you are doing any kind of deep frying or grilling, in addition to an ABC extinguisher. Extinguishers must be visible and marked, not locked up, they must be easily accessible. Your propane tanks must be chained to the trailers. ** Please see (T) section 320 Mobile Food Units Ohio Fire Codes for Complete List attached. 

Lessor’s (Festival of Fish Committee) Responsibilities

  1. General clean up (overnight) of all festival grounds 
  2. Electrical and hook up at panels. 
  3. Water within 100 feet 
  4. Leased space available 
  5. Security overnight to deter crime, but we are not responsible for losses. 

Miscellaneous Items

  1. Lessee required to be removed from festival grounds by Sunday June 19, 2022 by midnight. 
  2. No sleeping/living on festival grounds allowed. 
  3. There will be an ice truck available for you to purchase ice at a nominal fee. 

Please Note: 

Everyone must have someone working their concession at all times during festival hours of Noon-11pm Friday and Saturday, and Noon -3pm on Sunday. Failure to follow vendor rules will result in the Festival of the Fish Committee not inviting or allowing your participation in future festivals. Due to congestion and thinking of the safety of all participates at our festival there will be NO early breakdowns of vendor concessions. 

*** NO Vehicles are to be inside barricades after 10:30AM on Friday except for AUTHORIZED Festival Vehicles and Emergency Personnel. 

*** Although we do have foot patrol the Festival of the Fish Committee and Vermilion Chamber of Commerce assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY for merchandise and equipment. Please protect yourself against theft, vandalism, and of course the weather! 

***Please supply us with a VALID email so the Festival of the Fish Committee can email your booth location. With your help we can make this the best festival yet, proving once more why “Vermilion is a great place to drop anchor!” If you have questions please call the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce at 440-967-4477. 

Set-Up time will be Thursday June 16, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday June 17, 2022 before 10:00 AM. All Vehicles must be out of the festival area by no later then 10:30 AM on Friday. 

Festival Hours: Friday and Saturday Noon to 11pm and Sunday Noon to 3:00 PM. 

NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLES IN FESTIVAL AREA DURING FESTIVAL HOURS OR YOU WILL BE TOWED! Do not park in front of Town Hall or in Handicap spaces or you will be towed. 

NO PARKING AVAILABLE ALONG THE RAILROAD TRACKS! 

*** Please complete the following Contract completely and submit to the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce. This Contract must be completely filled out or it will be returned and you will not have a spot. With your contract we also need to upload a copy of your Food Vendor License. If you do not have a mobile license you must obtain one from the Erie County Health Department. The Erie County Health Department 419- 626-5623. You must supply a diagram of the placement of your stock truck including size, how many electrical hook ups and the amperage needed to run them.
