Festival of the Fish Vendor Registration

Description

The 2023 Festival of the Fish will be held Friday June 16th thru Sunday June 18th. We wish to extend our invitation to you as a vendor for this wonderful event. We charge flat fee per 10x10 booth type, which will include electric. We try to arrange our craft areas throughout the festival area to give you a better opportunity to best showcase your products.

You must provide your own table and covering. If you need electric service you must provide (12 gauge) 3 conductor cord, UL listed for outdoor and at least 50 feet in length. All receptacles are GFI protected. All booths must meet Ohio Fire Codes.

 When the contract has been submitted it will be reviewed, once approved your invoice will be emailed to you for either payment online, or you may mail in your payment via check payable to the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce 5495 Liberty Ave, Vermilion, OH 44089.

1. You must stay within your 10x10 area (Which should include Tent Stake, Poles and/or Booth support included). Infringement upon your neighboring crafter will be with their approval ONLY and Festival Committee will enforce this.

2. Spots are available on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS, (After March 31st) so get your contracts in early. Returning Craft Vendors must have their contract with deposit to the Chamber by March 31, 2023 to guarantee previous years space. All spots are assigned by the Festival Committee. Half Rental Fee must be paid within 1 week of approval and invoice sent, with the balance due before June 1, 2023, Money Orders Only after June 1st. NO money will be accepted at the Festival without prior arrangements made with the Festival Committee. Expectation is that all monies due be paid in advance. FESTIVAL GOES ON RAIN OR SHINE!! THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS! CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK, MONEY ORDER, PERSONAL CHECK, or CREDIT CARD. PERSONAL CHECKS MUST BE RECEIVED BY June 1, 2023. ANY CHECK RETURNED WILL BE CHARGED A $35.00 SERVICE FEE.

Please Note: Craft Vendors Can Close Down in the Evening on Friday and Saturday at 9PM if you wish, but do we encourage you to stay open till 11pm if you have patrons. 

Festival Hours are as follows: 

  • FRIDAY NOON TO 11PM
  • SATURDAY NOON to 11PM
  • SUNDAY NOON to 3 PM

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FESTIVAL WILL END AT 3PM ON SUNDAY BUT NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED INTO FESTIVAL GROUNDS UNTIL AFTER 4PM!!! THIS GIVES AMPLE TIME FOR FESTIVAL GOERS TO PURCHASE FOOD AND CRAFTS PRIOR TO LEAVING FESTIVAL GROUNDS!!! ANYONE WHO TRIES TO BRING IN A VEHICLE BEFORE ITS SAFE AFTER 4PM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO FESTIVAL AS VENDOR.

Failure to follow vendor rules will result in the Festival Committee not inviting or allowing your participation in future festivals. 

Due to congestion and thinking of the safety of all participates at our festival there will be NO early breakdown of vendor booths. *** NO Vehicles are to be inside barricades after 10:00AM on Friday except for AUTHORIZED Festival Vehicles and Emergency Personnel.

***We respectfully ask that you DO NOT sell silly string, snap pops, invisible ink, knives, items with obscene sayings or any item that looks or resembles drug paraphernalia. NO illegal imposter handbags or other illegal items will be permitted. The Festival Committee retains the right to request that you NOT sell an item if we see potential harm to the integrity of the Festival of the Fish or the people attending. This will be strictly enforced and you will be asked to leave.

 ***110 VOLT 20 AMP is the maximum electricity in craft areas. No pop machines or other hook ups allowed without the written consent of the Festival Committee. 

*** Although we do have foot patrol the Festival Committee and Vermilion Chamber of Commerce assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY for merchandise and equipment. Please protect yourself against theft, vandalism, and of course the weather! 

*** Clean up of your debris and garbage, both during and after the festival are your own responsibility. Leaving boxes etc. after the festival will result in the Festival Committee not inviting or allowing your participation in future festivals. Dumpsters are located by the railroad tracks for disposal of trash. Please do not dump in festival barrels or trash boxes, use dumpsters provided only. 

Absolutely NO animals will be allowed in booths (unless certified service animal) Or pre approved by committee. Failure of Compliance in any of the festival rules will be deemed an immediate Breach of Contract. 

***Please supply us with a VALID email so the Festival Committee can email your acceptance letter, booth location and any other information you will need prior to and during the festival. 

With your help we can make this the best festival yet, proving once more why “Vermilion is a great place to drop anchor!”

Set-Up time will be Thursday June 15, 2023 from 12:30PM to 6:00 PM and Friday June 16, 2023 between 7:00AM and 10:00 AM. All Vehicles must be out of the festival area by no later then 10:00 AM on Friday. Please do not set up before set up hours, please verify with festival staff that you have set up in the correct area, there is a $50 fee if the committee has to move you to the correct vendor spot. 

*** To ensure an enjoyable experience for all festival goers, booth vendors must keep their booth open during festival hours, Friday and Saturday Noon – 11:00 P.M and Sunday Noon – 3:00 P.M. Vendor participants that fail to comply will not receive future festival invites. Craft Vendors Can Close Down in the Evening on Friday and Saturday at 9PM if you wish, but do we encourage you to stay open till 11pm if you have patrons.

NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLES IN FESTIVAL AREA DURING FESTIVAL HOURS OR YOU WILL BE TOWED!

 Do not park in front of Town Hall or in Handicap spaces or you will be towed.

To Register to be a vendor please fill out the application in FULL all items MUST be included.  This INCLUDES a picture of your product and/or set up for committee approval. 

Once you have filled out the application MARK PAY BY INVOICE.  Once the committee has reviewed and accepted the application they will email you the invoice to pay from.
